Dear members and friends,
Welcome to Silicon Valley China Wireless Conference 2010 - Smart Connectivity
On behalf of Silicon Valley China Wireless Technology Association (SVCWireless), I’d like to extend our warmest welcome to you for attending this great event, the first-ever 2-day annual conference and celebrating SVCWireless 10 year anniversary with us.
In 2000, a group of enthusiastic wireless professionals founded SVCWireless. Since then, SVCWireless has weathered economic downturns and grown from a small professional group to an influential professional association with over 4000 members with chapters in both Silicon Valley and China, with your continuous support and involvement.
Today, the world is moving towards seamless mobility and smart connectivity. Mobile applications over smart phones have become common daily lifestyle, with Android and iPhone’s intense competition over supremacy in both consumer and enterprise markets and mobile data consumption on the brinks of explosion.
As the mobile/wireless ecosystem that offers always-on, anywhere and anytime connectivity is no longer a dream, the latest trend shows this connectivity applies not only to the people, but also to all the objects around the people and the world. People and the world have never been so connected as it is today.
These connected “smart objects” are giving births to Internet of Things, also known as Internet of Objects, which is probably the next biggest and most exciting revolution after the internet boom in early 2000. With its introduction, a great transformation is going on in every aspect of our daily life and multiple industries such as healthcare, energy, transportation, etc.
Powered with wireless technology, the mobile healthcare services are bringing together your doctors and yourselves, no matter where you are, with the best quality and cost.
With support of wireless and other ICT/IT technologies, every appliances at home will be able to communicate real-time back to the grid. Such a 2-way distribution system between energy users (demand) and energy providers (supply) creates a super-efficient and renewable smart grid, one of the greatest innovation in the energy industry.
However, the complicated nature of the mobile/wireless ecosystem demands significant effort to navigating through. Please come to participate in Silicon Valley China Wireless Conference 2010 and exchange ideas with the wireless industry visionaries and interdisciplinary experts.
Last but not least, let me take this opportunity to express my greatest thankfulness to our 2010 executive team, board members and volunteers for their diligent and excellent workto make this great event possible. Great appreciation to our members, friends, partners and sponsors for your support and help to the continuous growth of SVCWireless!
Best regards,
David Xu
