Jerry Ku, Partner, Gunderson Dettmer
Jerry Ku is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Group. Jerry’s practice focuses on the representation of emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycles. Jerry is broadly experienced with corporate formation and governance matters, venture capital financing transactions, public offerings and a variety of M&A transaction structures involving companies based in the U.S., Europe and Asia with emphasis on the Silicon Valley and China.
Jerry represents a wide variety of technology companies from consumer internet, software, telecommunications, and entertainment technology industries, as well as a number of leading venture capital firms.
Jerry has native fluency in spoken and written Mandarin. Jerry holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and received his B.S., double majoring in Biology and Philosophy, from Duke University. Jerry is admitted to practice in California.

David Lee, Partner, Gunderson Dettmer
David Lee is a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group which advises emerging companies and venture capital firms. David practices in the areas of corporate formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, public company securities, and technology licensing transactions.
David has an active practice representing China-focused emerging companies, both in the United States and in China. He has deep experience representing China’s leading private and public internet companies. In addition, David’s practice involves a broad network of entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists that are active in developing China-focused companies.
David earned his J.D. from Stanford University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, David was a partner at Orrick and a founding attorney and Director of Venture Law Group.

Victor Tong, Managing General Partner, Webplus Ventures
Victor Tong is an experienced entrepreneur turned angel investor in China and USA. He started his internet business back in 1994 and was recognized as the youngest “City Business 40 Under 40” in Minnesota. As an angel investor and previously running a NASDAQ company, he had invested in a few dozen companies in Internet and mobile Internet, e-commerce, online games, social networking, gaming / lottery, BPO/outsourcing/call center, and healthcare in USA and mostly in China over the past 10 years.
Mr. Tong is experienced in raising angel, VC, private, PIPE, and public equity and debt financing; leading and advising mergers and acquisitions, due diligence; going public via IPO and RTO, going private; and operating many public companies in China. He has been a frequent speaker at many IPO/going public, angel investor, Venture Capital, and entrepreneurship conferences in USA and China, including speeches at Harvard Business School, Wharton School, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Sun Yat-Sen University Business Schools. He has a strong following across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen hosting monthly 3-hour salons targeting entrepreneurs and angel investors in China!
