A sound business model is essential in exploring emerging markets. Google’s AdWords business model helped the company become No.1 in the search market. With 1 billion app downloads in 9 months, the AppStore’s has been a great success for Apple, the developers, and the users. Yet, a world leader may not necessarily be a leader in an emerging market, for instance, Amazon, Google etc. in China market.
As an entrepreneur, when you decide to enter an emerging market, it might be prudential to ask yourself
- what is your business model to drive your business in the emerging markets
- What are the difference between the emerging market and the developed countries?
- What are the market entry barriers?
- How shall we, the passionate entrepreneurs from the Silicon Valley, position ourselves to tackle the challenges?
In this panel, the veteran entrepreneurs, angles and VCs and business school professors, will provide their insights and perspectives about business models in emerging markets.
