
2010 Conference Mobile Boot Camp is a comprehensive mobile application development training. It covers mobile application development on leading mobile application development platforms, such as iPhone, Android and WebOS. We are honored to have a group of veteran Mobile App experts, Ms. Bess Ho, Mr. Peter van der Linden and Mr. Shoieb Yunus, teaching at the mobile application boot camp.

Speaker Bios
Introduction to iPhone development
Speaker: Bess Ho
Bess is a consulting UI Engineer in mobile & web technology. She has been able to explain complex matters in simple terms drawing from her rich experience in teaching adults and students. She taught as student instructor and Teaching Assistant in her college days. She became Adjunct Professor at University of Phoenix. Most recent she was a guest lecturer at Stanford University School of Engineering course “Engineering for Good - Save the World and Have Fun Doing It”. She acted as Technical Adviser to lead engineering students on mobile technology in global health projects. She was the mentor in GTAP program who led the team to win at iPhone Dev Camp in 2090 based on the open source project “Chief Medical Officer”
Bess has spoken & demoed about mobile technology at key conferences and events in Silicon Valley, such as O’Reilly Web20 Expo SF, Where20 Conference, Plug and Play Mobile Play conference, Silicon Valley Code Camp, Google Technology User Group (GTUG), Adobe User Group (AUG), iPhone Meetup, and more.
Bess shows her vision and passion in exploring web technology in founding and leading a community-based developer group Silicon Valley Web Builder (SVWB) since 2004. She is the Technical Editor of the first Open Social developer book “Building OpenSocial Apps: A Field Guide to Working with MySpace Platform”, written by MySpace platform team.
Programmer’s introduction to Android
Speaker: Peter van der Linden
Peter is an expert of embedded software,web software,Linux, Unix, Solaris, and Java. Peter has held senior engineering management positions at Sun, Apple prior to his current role as Motorola’s Android Evangelist.
Developing Viral and Sticky Apps
Speaker: Shoieb Yunus
Shoieb is the co-founder and CEO of Vpype. Previously, he has co-founded Precept Global Access, an entertainment media production company and founded EzValidation, a software company. Shoieb has worked for various Silicon Valley companies, including Veridicom, Ligos Corp, Mediamatics (a National Semiconductor company), Dazzle Multimedia (an SCM Microsystems company), Media Vision and others from technical positions to marketing and business development. He is a member of Venture Capital - Private Equity Roundtable group based in Palo Alto, CA. Shoieb is a filmmaker and directed the film, "Streets of Karachi"; and will be producing an English feature film titled, "Two Mothers".
