is the co-founder and CEO of Netcipia Inc, Palo Alto, CA, a company
pioneering on 2nd generation open source wiki technology.
Mr. Bruno is an entrepreneur with successful track record in different
continents. Prior to Netcipia, Mr. Beauregard served as the co-founder
and CEO of Mayetic, Paris, France in 1996 – 2005. Mayetic was known
as the first French “virtual company” that offered on-line collaborative
workspaces in English, French and Spanish. It also demonstrated the
relevance of this type of organization with an offshore team established
in India. In 2004, Mayetic won the “Innovative Enterprise Label”
of the French Agency for Innovation, and the “EUREKA Label” of the
European label in applied R&D. In December, 2005, Mayetic was purchased
by Oodrive, a French ASP company. In 1993-1995, Mr. Beauregard was the
VP Sales, then CEO of Ergosum, Paris, France. In two years, Ergosum
doubled its revenue under Mr. Beauregard’s leadership. In 1995, Ergosum
was sold to Group Decan, a French software company. He was the Sales
Director of Banking and Insurance Market of Sycomex, Paris, France in
1991 – 1992. Mr. Beauregard got his Master in International Business from Institute of International Relations, Paris, France in 1988. Mr. Bob Fu-Yuan Lin
is the co-founder of Acorn Campus and Acorn Angels, two of the most
reputable investment organizations in Asian American community. In addition
to having extensive angels and corporate investment expertise with multiple
IPOs, he also has more than 20 years of international business start-up,
marketing, and management experiences. He is very well known for being
the first launching investor of Avanti (IPO ‘95), AltiGen (IPO ‘97)
and LightLogic (Sold to Intel for $400M ’01). He is an early investor
in Vertex Network (Sold to Mitel for $200M ’99). He is also the co-founder
of Pine Photonics (sold to Hitachi/Opnext ’03). With Acorn, Bob was
also an investor of AFOP (IPO ’00) and Rapidstream (M&A, ’02). Bob is the co-owner and
board director of several medium-size manufacturing companies in Asia
with a combined number of employees near 4,000. Bob also serves as the
Chairman of Mobile Radius, a wireless platform company in California,
and on the board of Pine Photonics and Luxnet in Fremont, California,
as well as Atonics, a SoC Semiconductor company in Taiwan, plus EPIN
Wireless System in Beijing. Bob is also the author
of an inspiring book “Pursuit of Success & Happiness” and has
been asked to write several more books for the next few years. In the
past, he had been the lead guitarist and pianist of the rock band “Southern
Breed” in Taiwan. Bob has been very active
in generous community services. He was the Chairman twice in Chinese
Association of International Trade (CAIT), Chairman and Board member
of Monte Jade Association, Board member of Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce.
He has also served both as the Commissioner and the Chairman of Santa
Clara County – HsinChu County Commission. Bob has a MSEE degree from
University of California at Santa Barbara. He has been very active in
community services. Mr. William Wittmeyer
has 24 years experience in high-technology business and investment management.
In 1997 with Ms. Maggie Tham, he founded eXS Network Technologies
Sdn. Bhd. to provided innovative communication solutions to service
providers in SE Asia. In 2003 he and Ms Tham founded eXS Inc,
as a wireless access company developing innovative and cost effective
products for developing economies. Prior to founding these
companies Mr. Wittmeyer was active in technology investing in telecommunications
and seminconductors. He was an early investor in Network Equipment
Technologies Inc. UTStarcom, Zoran and IXYS. He has a B.Sc. (E. E.)
from the Coast Guard Academy and an M.B.A. from Columbia University
Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Henry Wong
has resided in China & Silicon Valley for the last 25 years.
From being a Serial Entrepreneur to a Venture Capitalist, Mr. Wong is
in a unique position where he can fully utilize his operational experience,
investment talent and his Chinese heritage to help and build companies
with a global vision. In his prior Fund, Crystal
Ventures, Mr. Wong was active with portfolio companies including SMIC,
LGC Wireless, Infinera, and Exavio. A seasoned angel investor and entrepreneur,
Wong has succeeded as the founder, chairman & CEO of SS8 Networks
Inc., a world class startup with major R&D operations in Beijing
and Ottawa. Wong was the co-founder of IP Communications, a VoIP
Gateway startup which was acquired by RampNet, now a division of Nokia
(Nasdaq NOK). He was also the co-founder, chairman, president
& CEO of XaQti Corporation, which merged with Vitesse Semiconductor
(a S&P 500, Nasdaq VTSS), and was the co-founder of CNet Technology
Inc., now a multi-million dollar public network hardware company. In
1988 he founded Combinet (ISDN Systems), which was sold to Cisco Systems
(Nasdaq CSCO) in a pooling of interest stock swap valued at $165 million.
His success, experience and leadership are invaluable in his role as
an Angel Investor and Serial Entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. In 2002, Mr. Wong was nominated, interviewed and was the finalist to the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”. Mr. Wong is an Advisor to 6 non-profit organizations and is active with community events. In education, Mr. Wong received a B.Sc. degree in Business from University of Utah and a MBA in Telecom Management from Golden Gate University. |
